Fellowship-Trained at the Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Institute
Dr. Loredo completed his Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute at the University of Louisville, from July 2007 through July 2008. The Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Institute in Louisville, Kentucky is one of the most respected hand-surgery training programs in the world.
Dr. Loredo assisted on a hand transplant during his fellowship training at the Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Institute / Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Hand transplantation is one of the most technically demanding procedures in surgery, combining microvascular anastomosis, nerve repair, tendon reconstruction, bony fixation, and immunologic management in a single operation. The operative experience Dr. Loredo brings to routine hand cases is informed by that level of training.
Following the main fellowship, Dr. Loredo completed additional microsurgery training at the Kleinert & Kutz Hand Care Institute from December 2007 through January 2008.
